hey guys ... hopin you can help me out on this question

okay...been using dvd2one version 1.1.1(the 2nd latest), have not got the new version yet. But I use smartripper and dvd2one and then recordnowmax. My question is the sound. I don't usually get subtitles on the movie, but when I watch it on my standalone player, I have to put the volume to the top level, and then i can hear everything clearly. Is there something that dvd2one does that affects the sound. is it smartripper?..hell it could be my standalone, but I don't know..anyone else with the same problem? BTW..i use a pioneer a05

    thanks

Are you taking AC3 6CH audio Raj ?

This is what I always take from DVD2One (also using v1.1.1 this end)

yep, I use the 6h, and whenever I see the 6H and the other one, i believe its either a 2H or 3H, I click on that, I saw a guide show that it selected all of the english audio. Last few ones, i have only seen the 6H so thats all I check mark...

Yeah It'd be 6CH but close enough.

Well you might want to check your settings on your stand alone DVD player then cos it'll be nothing to do with DVD2One

I too wondered why the sound wasn't all that on one of the back up's I'd done & it was because I'd been flicking thru audio selections on my stand alone players remote handset & it had obviously stayed in that mode until switched back.

I haveeeeee a slyvania... dvd/vcr combo.. i also have a sony dvp s300, it kind of hard for me to tell with the sony cause I have this 2 huge speakers, which are not part of the tv, but I also use a ps2, and I have to put the volume pretty high for movies. I did recently check if it was the ripping, but that wasn't the case, cause I played it on my computer after it was ripped, then i also played the movie after using dvd2one and the movie was fine. I am thinkin of switching my sony dvd in place of my slyvania, maybe I will see a change... thanks alot for the fast replies..

Do it , why are you using an inferior DVD Player to watch movies.?

A DVD/VCR combo is always going to let you down in some department.

    I have a Sony DVP-NS 305 (plays DVD-R/RW & DVD+R/RW...and of course VCD/SVCD/XVCD , mp3 etc etc).
It has an excellent correction rate & a dual laser pick up.

I use the PS2 to watch movies and yes I also need to put the volume level higher than I normally do.

yea.. the reason i use the slyvania player is that well, ive had it before i got the dvd burner, and also sometimes when I use my ps2, some movies tend to skip towards the end, and I also noticed that on my sony dvp-s300, but on my sylvania, those movies that originally skipped on my dvp-s300 and ps2, did not skip on my sylvania. I was planning on getting a dvd player, but I want to make sure the one I get is compatible with dvdr's, especially the ritek.

I always play my movies on the PS2 and have no problem with it, so no skipping, no freezing, no nothing, just the level of volume.
