I have a Pioneer DVR-109 im trying to burn vob files and it starts to burn and at about 1-2 % says commutacation fault what is this ?? do i have a faulty burner or software problem burner not very old and i have only burned 1 dvd with it any help would be great also whats the best for avt to dvd convert ??
I also have this particular model burner and haven't struck any prob at this stage, What burning prog are you using
OK I am going to need a little more, which version of Nero are you using, Nero7 or Nero6 and which version of that prog do you have. Nero is causing a few problems of late so I will need those details.
@AxeManX Definitley need some more info here as gwen pointed out- best bet post the nero log. If using 6 find it here: crogram files>ahead>nero>nerohistory.log If using 7 find it here: crogram files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory.log Your error can mean a few things - dma mode not on, driver conflict, ide cables etc. So the more info the better!

@AxeManX Well in this simulation burn it looks like you have multisession checked: Since your using a -r this should be no multisession. This is well some crappy media. Switch to Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Check you drives cables also and make sure they are securely in. You should be using 80 wire ide cable for dma.
