i was told that it would help if i removed the serial number when burning dvds with nero but where & how do I do that? and will it erase the number entirely from the system?

Hi lulabelle, no you got it wrong, what you were advised to do was to remove your serial number from your last post. It appeared with the log file you posted and the reason for telling you this was that nobody could STEAL it and use it for themselves.

You were given the reasons for your burn failure in that thread, have you done what I suggested.

Isuggest you go back to this thread and do as you were advised, when you have done this, then if your problem pewrsists post again.

    Heres what I recommended

First of all edit out your serial no

This version of Nero is causing problems so I would uninstall and then go here and install this version til bugs have been sorted

Your burn speed is really slow, try at 4X

Your firmware for your burner needs updating, go here for update

This one sticks out like a sore thumb:

Eck! Switch to the good stuff like taiyo yuden or verbatim
Your firmware is waaay behind - the latest is 0251. Here's a link:

Turn your burner back on to dma mode - here's a guide if needed:

    Try these and try again!

    [bold]And another 1 from me.[/bold]

@lulabelle, to be more specific. At the top right hand side of your post you will see a pen and paper icon, click on that and it will take you back to your original posting.
Locate your serial no that I have pointed out, highlight it and delete it, then click save changes at bottom of box and it's done(edited)
