is there anything i can use to decode xvid movies to another format supported by dvd autoring software? ympegnc keeps giving stupid errors when i try that.

well just tried it to get the error and now the damn things starts encoding then automatically shuts the program down....

ok i figured it out. if you have divx 5.03 installed you should download DVX3SysPack1.5U2.exe and then you can use it to convert the xvid file to divx 5.03 using the 1 pass. the other configurations will work, but this gave me the best quality. it's almost as if nothing changed and it also loads fine in dazzle dvd complete deluxe so i can burn to a dvd.
