what is the make & model # of the motherboard or computer?? a pci/e slot will be longer than a agp or pci slot.
dnt know, not at my pc right now. i went to crucial.com and i tried system scanner. it said i have a AGP SLOT availible. at the moment i have a 5200 geforce 128mb
@ *agent47* Just to make it clear incase you dont understand,a PCI-E card is physically bigger than an AGP card and not just a different specification. You would need to buy a PCI-E compatable motherboard (which might mean a new CPU) and you also require a power supply capable of running PCI-E. So your talking about upgrading all the major parts of your system before you could run it and not just a new graphics card. As i said just a bit of info, if you knew some of that already no harm done. Haim
thanks 'haimback' i didn't know. i will open my pc and check. how big is a AGP card in length? and how big is PCI-express?
As an example goto: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Produc...ID=1&TypeID=32&DetailID=507&MenuID=16&LanID=9 click on the zoom in. You will get a downwards view of the motherboard. The orangish slot is PCI-Express the yellowish slot is AGP
