Yep it's definitely cheap (inexpensive)!! I just hope that Rob sees the deal before he pulls the trigger on the Corsair, course he can cancel the order. Mwuahahahahahahaahaa!! The Antec may not be quite as good as the Corsair but it's not far off and it's (the Antec) a far cry from the POS PSU cincy was using. lol. :p

I'm here, I've spent the afternoon building and havent been online. As usual the thread is a page longer in a few hours time :p
I will post pics of the build and cave (will post links cause Morts pics and mine at the same time will be murder for some people on dial-up...)
    when everything is done.
Everything powered up fine, using MiniPE atm to check and see if everything was working before I started to setup windows.
I'm also imaging my 74GB Raptor as we speak to another HDD in my other machine, to use it for OS drive in new build while my 3 Samsungs RAID all my data.

OK, I've hit a little snag. my mobo does not have pin headers for AC97 or HD audio. there is a pin header marked AAFP1 on the Supreme FXII audio card and the pin configuration is the same for both the AC97 and HD audio connectors for my front panel. from what I can tell from googling, this is where I hook up the front panel audio. my problem now is, is it for AC97 audio or HD audio? either one will connect to it.

Depends. Do you actually have the HD audio connectors built into your case?

I know in my case I can connect either. Just connect what you want to use.

all there is on the front panel is a mic jack and headphone jack but there are connectors from the front panel for AC97, HD audio and azilia.

nope, nothing about the internal connectors on the Supreme FXII. one connector is for the digital audio connector from an optical drive. got that one figured out.

If you're not going to use HD audio, then just connect the AC97 connector.

I was just very pleasantly suprised. I called asus tech support and got right through. no hold time. he told me to hook the HD audio connector from my front panel to the AAFPI connector on the Supreme FXII audio card. whether or not he is right remains to be seen however.

Hey to all you guys with the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R, I found this to fix the vdrop. On my board when I set it to 1.5v it shows 1.42 in everest. Hopefully this will fix it.

Mort, on your pic's, the case I saw, what kind was it, and was that a handle I saw on the top, which I like, suprises me why all cases dont come with one, or at least the heavier ones anyway.

Coolermaster Stacker I think. As for the handles, I remember hearing a comment on the handles for the Cosmos that they're too thin to put your hands in, is that true of the stacker as well?

I've seen a Cosmos and a Stacker side by side and the Stacker didn't have a handle that I remember. The frikkin Cosmos needs a handle and a crane to boot!! It's heavy of course but the "handles" are on both sides of the top and I got my hand under them without much effort and I have fairly large hands. ;)

Hey Fred!! Good to see you droppin buy. ;) You about to start ordering parts for that Father/Son build??

It's definitely a Stacker, but they have a single handle in the top rather than two full-length ones.
