Firmware for external drive

    Can I update my firmware through a USB port for a external Lite On drive? Thought I read in a thread it was not advisable.

    Firmware is the driver for your digital device.
    It is important to keep the firmware updated.
    If you have DVD decrypter you can use its built in search to find the latest firmware.
    As long as your updating the RIGHT firmware for your make/model burner, You will be fine.
