im looking for a firmware update i already visited: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=23 and the only firmware update i found was for the NEC DVD+RW ND-2100A not the 2100AD does anyone know where i can go to get a firmware update for my dvd drive
There is no difference between the 2100A and the 2100AD. One is bought after market, and one comes with the computer is the nearest I can tell. Go back to the site you posted, and there is a firmware hack by the dangerous brothers that will convert your drive to the 2500A, which is DL compatable!!! Post your updates!!
Alright im kinda new to this and im not exactly sure how to do this its telling me to Make a backup of your current ROM first nec2x00a -sec -mas -out BACKUP.BIN. if you can kinda walk me through this i would really appreciate it thanks.
If you have a true NEC drive the current update is 1.92 and you can get this from NEC site here http://support.necsam.com/optical/downloads//FlashFirmware/
