when converting from avi format using both tmpgenc and panasonic mpeg encoder some films will be spot on first time, some not.
The main problem i seem to have is even when converting from a dvd rip avi that looks perfect with good lypsync I either get a blocky effect or out of sync audio.
Don't know if its down to a lack of plugins with the blocks but i have seen that getting a certain degree of blockiness is a common problem so I don't know if its a lack of system resources causing this or what.
As far as the lyp sync goes, the only way i have found round it is to convert in segments, e.g. splitting a film into 5 minute blocks, then manually adding a delay on the audio to each one, which is a lengthy process. If anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate them spilling the beans on this one as i'm running out of ideas myself. Thanks in advance.
