I am thinking about buying a dvd recorder to record saved programs on my dvr.I have a Scientific Atlanta explorer 8000 model thru Cox communications.I was looking at the ILO dvd recorder or the EMERSON EWR10D4.I have been reading the pros and cons on both of these recorders and I am wondering if I should try onr of these out or spend a little more for one that would have less problems. Also I would like to know if I will be able to record the saved programs on my dvr to dvds.When I called Cox they were very sketchy and said they don't "support" any third party products and could'nt tell me if any dvd recorder would work with my dvr.Any insight would be greatly appreciated....thank you
