LCD monitor keeps saying no signal.help

    i have a custom built pc.it has a gainward 6600 graphics card.everything was fine about an hour ago.i also use my monitor to play my 360 on with a VGA cable so im always switching between PC and 360.i was finished playin 360 so i switched the wires back and it says on my monitor in a blue box no signal.i restarted my computer and it works until after the windows xp loading screen then it says no signal.its a relisys LCD monitor.i also tryed another monitor i have and the same thing happens with that.what is going on.someone help really pi**in me off

    your onboard video card have a conflict with the other video card. do u have onboard video card?. if yes disable it.

    as far as i know i dont have an onboard video card.how do i check?

    i checked some sites and it says that you have to go into device manager to turn off onboard cards.i cant go into device manager since the screen says no signal.i need help

    Sometimes your monitor will retain the video properties of the last thing plugged in, like if you go from vga to a new dvi card. Try plugging the monitor in to the video card and then power down the system and your monitor for a few minutes. Then power everything back on. See if that works.

    thanx but i tryed that.i left everything unpluged for the night and tryed this morning.still the same problom.i also took out the graphics card and put it back in.but that did nothing either

    i also tryed starting the pc with just one stick of ram.still nothing.its weird cause it works until after the windows xp logo.any suggestions?

    ok so i hit F8 and booted in safe mode.it works in safe mode and goes to the desktop.but when i try to start it normaly i get no signal again?

    i also resatsrted it in VGA mode from the startup options.it works that way it comes on to the desktop but everything is huge and the screen is all wavy.i cant change the resolution from 800x600.if i do the screen goes black and i get no signal again.sorry for multiple posts

    It's possible that your video card driver has got corrupted. Try re-installing the driver.
