your onboard video card have a conflict with the other video card. do u have onboard video card?. if yes disable it.
i checked some sites and it says that you have to go into device manager to turn off onboard cards.i cant go into device manager since the screen says no signal.i need help
Sometimes your monitor will retain the video properties of the last thing plugged in, like if you go from vga to a new dvi card. Try plugging the monitor in to the video card and then power down the system and your monitor for a few minutes. Then power everything back on. See if that works.
thanx but i tryed that.i left everything unpluged for the night and tryed this morning.still the same problom.i also took out the graphics card and put it back in.but that did nothing either
i also tryed starting the pc with just one stick of ram.still nothing.its weird cause it works until after the windows xp logo.any suggestions?
ok so i hit F8 and booted in safe mode.it works in safe mode and goes to the desktop.but when i try to start it normaly i get no signal again?
i also resatsrted it in VGA mode from the startup options.it works that way it comes on to the desktop but everything is huge and the screen is all wavy.i cant change the resolution from 800x600.if i do the screen goes black and i get no signal again.sorry for multiple posts
