Im looking into dashboards and I'm a bit confused. I'm getting read to attempt my 1st backup for xbox. I have - FlashFXP, Quix, and DVD Decrypter. I still need a dashboard? Is this correct? If so, I'm looking at Evolution X. Anyone know where I can get this off hand? Is there a different one I should use? I don't even know what exactly a dashboard is or what you do with it! I'm a total newbie at this, I ordered my mod yesterday (Xecuter 2.6CE) and I hope I made a good decision. I'm just taking this one step at a time, not knowing what to expect next once I begin this back up process, and I hope I don't end up making a ton of coasters my first tries. Anyone have any other advice?
Ok, to clear my thread up a bit... I know what a dashboard is, but I need to know if it's still possible to play backed up games on the original dashboard, or do I really need to switch them? And of course from my original thread, I still need to know if I'm heading in the right direction.
Hmm... you are really new. So you will install X2.6ce on your xbox. Then you need bios to flash, dashboard like Evox or autoinstaller disk. You can get all of these by following the link in my sig. Then goto My Link. Everything you need are in there like tutorials, how to download, files.
My mod comes preflashed with FlashBIOS Cromwell. Here are the steps Im taking to make backups.. Let me know if this is the correct order.. 1. ftp the game from xbox to pc using fxp (crossover cable) 2. create the iso using quix 3. burn the iso using dvd decrypter or nero Can I use my original dashboard, or do I absolutley have have to download a new dashboard? I do not plan saving games to my xbox hd.
