collinst, Commerical DVD's are not burned but they are 2 thin layers w/ each having part of the DVD on it and then they are adhered together w/ adhesive and pressed together along w/ using Heat to make the movie. So after the DVD is pressed a bubble could appear between the pressing and it will play in a DVD-Rom but when a computer tries to read the disk the computer is not as forgiving as the DVD-Rom
