How to [bold]convert AVI to DVD, MPEG to DVD, WMV to DVD, MPG to DVD, MOV to DVD, RM to DVD, DIVX to DVD, ASF to DVD[/bold] and burn to DVD with Cucusoft AVI/MPEG to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter?

    1. Download the software from http://www.soft29.com/download/dvd_video/avi-mpeg-dvd_r44744.exe and run.

    2. First of all, select the conversion you want to do (1). We want to convert Divx/XviD/AVI/MPG file to DVD, so select 'To DVD'.
Now you have to select between two tabs (2). 'Merge' will join all the video files you add (such as AVI, MPEG, DivX, XviD, WMV) to one DVD file (including VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS, etc.). 'Batch' will encode each video file to a different DVD (so that you burn it in more DVDs). As you understand if the videos are small select 'Merge', if it's big movies you want to put into different DVDs select 'Batch'.
After this click 'Add' (3) and open the video files you want to convert.

Now it's time for the output settings. First of all select the location and the name of the output file. Then select 'Keep Aspect Ratio' (4) unless you want your actors to look like aliens!
After that select the output format between PAL and NTSC depending on your DVD player. The PAL and NTSC selections will set the right output size (resolution).
Also if you want your PC to shut down after the conversion (usefull as the conversion may take much time) select this option (4). If you like, you can set 'Frame rate', 'Output Quality', 'Aspect Ratio', etc. by clicking the 'More Advanced Settings' (5).

    3. Click "Convert and Burn" button (6) to start converting movies to DVD's files. The AVI/MPEG to DVD converter will automatically create a "DVD_Disk1" folder in the output location, and the DVD's files VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS will be placed there.

    4. "CD/DVD Burning engine" will be launched automatically after video conversion done. Please choose the suitable DVD burner drive. (supports DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW)
The AVI to DVD, MPEG to DVD converter has embedded "DVD Author Express" and "DVD/ VCD/ SVCD Burner Engine". So it can burn the files coverted to DVD, VCD, SVCD directly.

If you'd like to burn DVD with another DVD burning software such as Nero, please click "Cancel" and burn the files in "DVD_Disk1" folder to DVD later.

    5. Place a DVD-/+R/RW disc into your DVD drive. If it is a rewritable disc, the program will erase the disc before burning DVD disc. When burning DVD is done, the DVD disc will be ejected automatically.

Use Nero Vision. You can get it on their site. Only no subtitle possibilities :S

I followed all the instructions carefully that were posted in this thread. I followed them step by step and didn't have any problems along the way of doing so. Here is the problem. When I go to check was on the DVD+R to see if it was actually burnt on the DVD and when I check it there is absolunty nothing on it. Has anyone ever had this problem? What gives?

ok, I got it to play now. But there is no sound and in the center of the screen it says www.cucusoft.com . How do I get sound and how do I get that URL off of the screen. It's appearing all the way through the whole movie.

HumpZu, Which format video files did you convert and burn to DVD? To remove the watermark in the center of the screen, you need to purchase the registration code.

Does anyone know of a way to burn iTunes m4v files to DVD? I can not burn them because they are protected.

    Bigapples,
If it's an .mov, you can use TMPGenc with the .mov plugin and encode it to .mpeg. The plugin is available here in Afterdawn.

Maybe something I should have mentioned, the quality when you convert it to mpeg will be crap. Garbage in garbage out.

When I load the file of the file to be converted to DVD it closes. I've reinstalled the program and its still doing it. I've tried two different videos now too.

iTunes m4v is protected. You have to remove drm or record to unprotected AVI MPEG files, then burn DVDs.
