DVD-9 or is it???

    I was going to back-up my sopranos disks and notice they (well the first one I tried anyway) are dual layered but are only 4.31Gb will I be able just to back this up onto a DVD-5 with DVD decrypter or will I still need to compress the DVD before back up, if so what is the easiest way to compress the extras and remove all languages and subtitles except for English?

    Whether it's dual-layered or not (and I doubt if it is at 4.31Gb) if you rip/encrypt all files you should then be able to burn straight off.

    I dont really see any reason to remove extras,menu & subtitles unless your going to keep Sopranos on a DVD-RW or DVD+RW.
