PLEASE HELP COPY DVD FILM VIDEO SECTION TO AVI

    HI THERE CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN COPY AN INTRO FROM A DVD FILM INTO AVI SO I CAN USE IT IN PINNACLE TO ADD TO MY HOME VIDEO... BEEN THROUGH LOADS OF FORUMS CAN'T FIND A SUITABLE SEARCH..PLEASE HELP...

    i take it this is an opening sequence.
    If you had shrinkdvd you would be able to select reauthor and it would present you with each chapter of the dvd.From there its rather simple just to select the segment you require and back it up to your hard drive.Once it is on your hard drive you shouyldnt have much trouble adding your clip to it and then rerburning the whole thing to dvd

    Hi dude thanks for reply ... and creaky caps are now off...

    I have Shrink dvd... I know how to reauthor .... but the end product on your hard drive will be a vob file... I need an avi file so I can put it into pinnicle.... is there any free way of doing this? sorry for tough question

    if you look in either the guides section or down the bottom scroll through filepedia you will find software that will allow you to convert vob/mpeg2 files back to avi.

    One program that comes to mind is fair use wizard2
