I am using Ffmpeg 0.4.6 CODEC to playback a DIVIX (Mpeg 4) .AVI file in windows media player. The entire movie plays fine on the computer but I want to make a DVD so I can watch it on my TV without using my laptop. DVDit! Starts to recompress the AVI file for the DVD but then it stops with an unknown error. All my other Mpeg encoding software do not recognize the file as a valid one such as, Pinnacle Studio 8, TMPEGnc, DVDX P4, DVD Maestro, DVD2AVI, Adobe Primer, I even tried DVD2ONE. Nothing works, there has to be a way to convert this DIVIX file to a format that I can make a DVD out of, can anyone please help me?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]XBOX v1.1

Thanks allot bro! I think I need to find a VFW codec for this file, I have a media player codec but I don’t think it is VFW. I have one codec that is VFW and VirtualDub 1.5.1 can read the file but not recompress it to Mpeg or another avi stream. I will keep working on the problem, I’ll bet by the time I get it, the DVD will be released and I will be buying it LOL.

Still working on the problem, there is a problem with the stream of the video. DVD it! can read the file and even start recompressing it but after 15min it hits a bad part in the video and will not continue. THIS SUCKS! Oh well 4 more months and I will be buying the DVD, guess I will just keep plugging my lap top into my TV for now HEH!
