I've bought two SLI Graphic cards [NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT]. Tried doing Dual Monitor mode, but as from what I've heard, you cannot dual monitor these SLI graphic cards because they are set as SLI. Is it possible to install a PCI Graphic card [since my motherboard does not have onboard VGA port], and use that card for my second monitor?

I am aware that in SLi you can't use dual monitors, but {correct me if I'm wrong} don't 6600's have two monitor ports each? ie one DVI and one VGA? If so, you could just use the one gfx card, and buy a converter plug to convert dvi/vga if you have to, so you can plug in the other monitor.

It has dual port, but its disabled when using in SLI mode. Both of my GeForce 6600 GT has dual DVI [with a only 1x VGA converter each card]; but cannot be used for Dual Monitor [unless I have only one Graphics card attached - which I will not use].

I have a proposition. When you are just in normal everyday use, use both your monitors and disable SLI functionality in windows settings. Then when you want to play a game, deal with one monitor. Thats all I can think of lol.
