I have been burning dvds for sometime now. Lately I have been haviing trouble with the disc skipping or freezing, when I play it in my home dvd player. I have tried using both DVDXCOPY and CloneDVD2 and they are both doing the samething. I tried the discs in the dvd burner on the computer and still freezes (usually in the same place) What do you think is this the burner? It is not a high priced burner and I have had it for a year and a half now. Should I try to replace it witha better one? PLease help
id start with buying better media before spending money on a burrner. And you could also try to custom size the output DVD to 4300 so it dosent burn to close to the edge of the blank media.
Ok, I tried to backup the movie file to the hard drive, then write the existing files through CloneDVD2 and the disc worked fine, on three different movies. But there is no success copying directly from original to DVD+r. What is going on. PLease any help would be great.
Are you using a disc-at-once option? Maybe it is pulling to much CPU usage and the disc come out bad due to the CPU using to much resources. I always rip the DVD to HDD and then recode it with either recode2 or cloneDVD2. There is less CPU usage doing it that way plus during the backup processes I let it do its work without browsing the net or using other apllications. Also if you recently installed any programs make sure that there not using alot of resources that might effect how much CPU usage can be used during the recoding of the DVD if a program is drawing alot of CPU usage close the program while doing the recoding.
