.bup file should be identical to .ifo file error Nero

    I converted the avi movie to dvd using Nero Vision and proceeded to use the Nero burning rom to create a dvd. I got the error that VTS_01_0.BUP should be identical to VTS_01_0.IFO ..If you proceed the dvd may not be playable. I noticed that there is no data in the .BUP file (0 KB). What is going on and how can I fix this? Thanks

    The bup file is just a copy of the ifo file. So just copy the ifo file to another location and rename it to VTS_01_0.BUP then copy it back to the folder to overwrite the VTS_01_0.BUP that is there.

    Why I didnt make a good one in the first place I have no clue.

    could you show me how to rename a ifo file to bup file? thanks

    Right click on the ifo file, after you have copied it to another location and then choose rename. Rename the file exactly as stated VTS_01_0.BUP. Then copy it back to your original file, don't forget to delete the blank BUP file.
