I've successfully downloaded various movies with Kazaa. However, when I try playing them with MS Windows Media Player I only get the audio - no video. I have no idea how to solve the problem. Can someone help me?

    Thanks

    I got the following information:

    Video Format
Codec IS Installed (no details available)

    Audio Format
Codec IS Installed (GSpot has found that the Frauenhofer IIS MPEG layer-3 codec (adavnced) will decompress this audio format. DirectShow was UNABLE to render the movie overall however, see the DirectShow for more details

    DirectShow Render
    Error number: 0x00040242
    Error name: VFW_S_Partial_Render
Full Error Text: Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance

    Dear Dela

Thanks for getting me started. In the meantime I went through several other chat forms looking for a similar posting.

I found several people posting this problem but most went unanswered.

I did however, find somebody who solved the problem by simply installing Media Player 9 and DIVX Pro 5.0.3. I did it and it now my movies work!

Well obviously your movies were divx5 then because that would install the divx 5 codec!
