I am looking to build a 3.4 GHz 2MB L2 Cache prescott, and have been debating getting a larger monitor and a Hauppauge Dual TV Tuner card, because I am going to be in school and would rather buy a larger LCD Monitor than bring my bulky 19" tube from home. I dont watch a lot of television, but the question is how is the picture quality of the captured or live image? I mean I know its not going to be as good as regular television, but is it that much worse?

Actually picture quality is good with the Hauppauge cards. I have a PVR-250 and it captures at dvd quailty mpeg-2. I record then burn to DVD.

As you can see from my signature, I have the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI TV Turner. I like it and as far as I am concerned, it gets the job done. :)
