Port Replicator Toshiba E740 after modding for E330?

    Hi!
    I currently own a Toshiba E330 PDA.
    And all over the net I see USB Host cables for E330, that are suitable for E740 also.
    Now I can get a Port replicator containing VGA, USB host connector and the standard SYNC connector.
    As I looked at it I noticed the connecor that connects the PDA to the replicator is the same as on my E330, but there are hooks holding it back from fitting.
    If I can modify the Port-Replicator (undo it form its hooks) and clik my PDA on there, will it be functional?
