I'm a newbie and am a little lost-i think. I am obviously new to DVD burning, and have been searching, but need to get my eggs in one basket. I have a DVD burner, NERO 6 Ultra, and 4.7GB DVD-R disks. From what i believe i have deciphered here is that i need some type of CSS program. Or, am i missing something and it is on my NERO disk? Also, this nero version should be able to compress the files, right? So, original movie in "from"-drive has to be put on HDD, i can't just copy on the fly(if i'm correct in what i have read). From there i....use the CSS program(recommendations?)? Then i author the DVD and burn to the destination disk. Does that sound right?
sorry if i'm upsetting anyone with such a basic question instead of "search you ##$%$$%!!!!" I looked thru the guides, but am a little uncertain as to what other program i may need to use first before NERO.
yeah you need a program like anydvd (which is awsome) or dvddecrypter, back up disk to HDD then burn with nero recode. I also have nero but I've never really backed up my dvd's using it, I use anydvd/clonedvd for that so I might be a little off on how to use nero.
So if i get AnyDVD, i can just do everything through that program, including burning? What about some of the things i've read about getting a DVD movie on a CD-r disc? Like this:http://www.copyextra.com/
From the link you posted The site talks about dvd burners costing 1000,$ we all know way better than that. Thats a LOAD OF CRAP. Yopu can downample dvd movies onto vcd or SVCD format but the video quality is WAY less. And you will STILL need a NEWER decryption program, (such as anydvd) to make that OLD program work. All you need anydvd and dvd shrink. Anydvd to rip the protection and dvd shrink to encode and burn.
