    Hi,
I have a 640x480 avi file that is anamorphic video. I wanted to burn it to DVD video, but include a flag so that the DVD player will do the anamorphic squeeze.

I downloaded NERO and tried their wizard. I saw the 16:9 option, and proceeded. It converted the video and burned it to DVD. When I played it back on a 4:3 TV, it had black bars on the side... so all the 16:9 option in nero did was put my 4:3 anamorphic video inside a 16:9 frame.

I put the DVD in my widescreen setup and it did the same thing... had black bars on the side... even though my DVD player was set to display 4:3 material in full.

Is there a seperate program I need to flag my video? Are there any programs like nero which will convert and burn to DVD but add the anamorphic flag?

    Thanks,
    Bob C

just leave the setting to automatic. if you want to try different settings without wasting dvds then in the burning part of nerovision use image recorder and mount the image to nero virtual drive and play it to see if the output is what you expected.
