My daughters pc is a hand- me -down! and last night she calls me too tell me that cd wount open? Now iam no computer expert so i thought i would try and she what she had (It Does'nt Open)it wount even open buy taken a paper clip and inserting into small hole on the front, i checked all connection and seems to be fine there, when you hit eject button the green light come on but still wount open? what do you think guys? Iam also wanting to know what can i replace it with, Its just a plain cd drive nothing fanncy, should i get her a combo?
Do you think something is stuck in it?.....Try opening the PC up and checking,if it is busted then i would get a new one........It depends on what she does on the PC, like does she watch movie's on it or burn things? Well she really only needs it to read and install programs? but i thought maybe i would get her a cd of some sort so she could copy her work instead of just a floppy? iam no expert just trying to help her out she a strugle collage student?
OK, If she wants to save stuff on like a disk you want to get a CD_Burner it is the same thing as a CD-rom but a CD-rom only reads, a CD-burner Reads and writes
