Im interested in DVD R pro version but wanted to test the free one first.
Ive tried over a number of nights but luck only on the first night.
    1. first night all worked fine. but I changed some settings for improved quality after that first burn.
    2. Second night it never completed!.
    3. Last night same thing with a different DVD this time,,,message says "Run time Error 52. Bad file name or number". It was in phase 2 encoding.
What does this all mean and what do I do please guys?
Before I go over to the pro version I want to find out whats wrong with the free one!
    thanks in advance.

after looking for some help in the HELP file I came across this:
[bold]CHANGES MADE TO PRO AND FREEWARE VERSIONS
Fixed an error that could result in "Runtime Error 52" on certain sources when using either ReJig or "No Compression" settings[/bold] again... what settings did you change?

[bold]Corrected a problem in which attempting to call an encoder with an incorrect path could cause "Runtime Error 52" and cause Rebuilder to abort.[/bold] I'm writing down what was corrected to newer versions of DVD-RB Pro and free version.

[bold]Fixed the "Runtime Error 52" that occurred with the working path is invalid.[/bold] do you have a valid working path?[/bold]
maybe you didn't set your working bath as a valid folder on your hard drive!

If you chose to alter the video ie.. half space and half d1 options (or remove extra's w/ pro) you would [bold]have[/bold] to encode thus nocompression or rejig modes would give you this error.

as you are using hc with the freeware version I would say it's truely a bad file path whether it be encoder path's or source, working, or output!

did you update your copy of hc by any chance??

ps that setarip guy is usually more harm than help ;)
