Hi, well im posting to ask any1 if they can help me.

Pipex 2mb ADSL

about 1 week ago i started experience very slow downloads from my p2p client, frostwire, and Bit Tornado. my downloads would go at 220 kb/s but now they only seem to download at 25kb/s max on my p2p client and bit tornado. I then tried changing my p2p client to check if that was maybe the problem, so i changed to Shareaza, but then again i still had the same problem, the maximum download speed of 25kb/s.

I've tried many things to try and fix this, and still no luck. checked the bandwidth speed, firewall etc ; there dont seem to be no problems from them.

Any 1 have any ideas why this has happened ? Any help would be appreciated.

btw, when downloading a file off the internet, eg ugnserver2 or www.downloads.com i get full speed downloads.

i then found out my isp service network was down, but came back online after a short period of time. the reason that it was down was :

Current outage to report Connectivity - an outage has been reported.

The following day, today, i rang up my isp and they told me there is nothing wrong with my connection, so there must be some sort of problem from somewhere else.

Any help would be appreciated, these slow speeds are starting to irritate me

I am also Pipex and this has happened to me same, I have tried everything my dl speed has dropped to 25k. Tried different PCS here the lot. I am almost sure Pipex have started port throtling. They wont admit it but this stinks.

Just spoke with Pipex they confirmed Port Throttling. Just cancelled my account with them and asked for Mac code for migration. I have noticed this with several residential packages. Business package for me this time cya Pipex.
