I'm trying to backup a couple of DVD's and am having a hell of a time. I've successfully done this many time and just these most recent DVD's are giving me trouble. I've tried all combinations of tools. I've:

Ripped with DVDShrink burned with DvdDecrypter
Ripped with DVDShrink burned with Nero 7
Ripped with AnyDVD 5.9.3.1 + DvdDecrypter, resize with DvdShrink and burned with both DvdDecrypter and Nero 7

I've also tried VobBlanker (though i don't really know what it does) since it's helped me before. Every time i try to burn i get an error at some point that makes a coaster. I can mount the image DvdShrink makes with Daemon Tools and the movie runs fine so the movie is there. It's driving me crazy. I'm using Sony discs that say made in Japan (figured TY's?) which have worked many times before. Also my Dvd burner has been kinda a pain since i got my new Dell machine. It will only read/burn at sub 2x speeds when it should be able to burn up to 16x. This is annoying and i've tried fixing it but hasn't been a deal killer yet. The discs that are giving me trouble are "Breakfast Club" and "Scrubs Season one disc one". Neither are brand new so i don't figure they have brand spanking new protection on them. If anyone has any advice i'd love it since i've probably made 10+ coasters at this point. I'll put my nero log at the end of this post in case that helps.

    Thanks!
    Chris

First up, edit out your serial number

Your Nero is several versions behind, upgrade from here
    http://httpdl6.us.nero.com/software/nero7/Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe

All these need to be on, go here for guide
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038

I would slow burn speed to 4X

Excellent media choice, I would attend to these and see how it goes.

I could kiss you gwendolin. Not only did i get those movies burned by my drive started burning/reading at real speeds. I think it was uninstalling/reinstalling my Primary IDE and resetting everything to DMA.

Out of curiosity why do i want to hide my serial number?

There are some people who do not purchase their progs legit and when someone posts their serial number the PIRATES copy it and use it for themselves.

Glad to see you're up and burning again, Cheers.
