what parts do i need for my p.c pls

    hi all got abit of a problem.just got myself a p.c and it keeps shutting down so its going back to them.

    i am going to build my own

    i am going to use a
    AMD 3800+ DUAL CORE CPU but i don`t know what are the best other bits i need use the p.c for burning /pictures /avi-dvd etc

    need
    1 gig ram
    80 gig h/d
    motherboard
    case and power supply
    pioneer 111 dvd

    can anyoune reccommend what bits would be best and where the cheapest place to get them is got about 450-500 quid

    any idea what motherboard for the amd i would need? and ram for the board
    that might be enough info for me

    for motherboard get a socket 939 something along the lines of Asus A8N and ram get PC3200 DDR 400mhz. Also may need a video card for that system

    what one of these 3 would be best and is ram fine?what video card and is this cheap

    Hi, the Abit KN8 is very good, and as for your video card it all depends on your budget. Arguably the best mid-range card right now is the 6800GS,Newegg has for around $170..

    will it run without a video card for now has the abit got on board video

    Hi, it doesn't have any onboard video, only sound onboard. Your going to need a video card..

    No the abit hasnt got on board video, one that has is Asus A8N-VM.

    is this one as good as the abit have heard asus are alright?
    are the 3800+ dual core alot better than the 3700+
    would i notice the difference if i was burning and digital pics

    with the dual core u could do both at once with out ne problems with one core u could do both but be sloooow, Also asus are one of the best motherboard maufactures around at the moment

    geta Asus A8N-VM with on board vid
    amd 3800+ dual core
    1 gig ddr400 3200
    case with 450 power

    yep, sounds good and it will all fit lol, and u have got a spare PCI-E slot for an upgrade for the video card, nice.

    was going to order it from
    scan computers seen quite cheep
