graphic card BSOD

    i just installed an XFX GeForce 6600 256MB PCI E graphics card
    ...whenever i start one if my games or even just sometimes for no reason gives me the blue screen and it only has happened since i put the card in
    i installed all the software and the card is properly installed
    any ideas?

    Power Supply... are you over 350W?

    Was the installation of the video drivers done with you're firewall and antivirus disabled?( While disconnected to the net)?

    no i have about 350 or a little less and i disabled the firewall so it could acess whatever it was aceesing
    my dad talked to the tech guy at his work and this is the one he suggested for my power supply and everything

    350 isn't enough. you should get a 400+
    when you run that kind of card it usually suggests 350, but, you really need more like a 400-500 watt to be on the safe side. the computer i'm going to build will need a 650 watt psu so i can be on the safe side of never overloading it lol

    sounds like its the power supply to me sorry mate, also have u uninstalled the old graphics card driver and installed the new one?

    the old card was built into the Motherboard
    birthday is coming up so now i know what to ask for ! lol
