I just got my Xbox modded with all the emulators and stuff installed and I just downloaded Goodgen_v3.00 (5871_roms),I know how to FTP it to my xbox but I cannot figure out how to get them to play?

Do I need to do anything to the downloaded roms before I send them to my xbox? and How do I start the games once there on my xbox hard drive?

Also,How do I send Xbox games to my hard drive using dvd2xbox?

    I would appreciate any help!

dont know what your really asking with the first question but if u have the sega emulator which just ftp the game to the roms folder which should be in that emulator folder.....
dvd2xbox copies game disc's that u put in your xbox just go to dvd2xbox and copy game....

.gen is a genesis file format. "Gens" on my pc runs .gen's, neogenensis 4 xbox runs them 2. in theory, i suppose, Goodgen should run .gen files w/out ne problem.

i don't want 2 come off like some smart-ass, but i take it u meant .smd, right? .smc & srm r snes file formats. genensis roms can be .gens, .smd, or .bin

just thought u might want 2 know.

if u check those 3 .gen files u mentioned, chances r they probably have an identifying marker "( )" such as 777casino(u).gen. those tell u what region the rom is 4 -- (u) 4 us, (j) 4 japan, (e) 4 europe. also [!] usually id's a good rom. (b) r usually betas. just pick the 1 that's more suited 2 u or ur region. then ftp them in2 the roms folder in ur emu, & enjoy!

i dl "shiningforce.7z" 4 Gens & got 7 versions of the game after i un-rar'd it (u), (j), (e), the rest were variations in chinese. i then just installed the us version.

.7z is just another way 2 compress files. apparently, it can hold larger data files, or multiple data files in 1 packet. (lol) and no, theridges, .smd's r 1 file type, .gen's r another. but both r still genesis formats. think of it this way: smd = Sega Mega Drive, .gen = GENesis. which makes sense. if ur wondering: .sms = Sega Master System, gbc & gba r gameboy color & gameboy advance respectively. .nes is obvious, and personally, i think of smc's as Super Mario Carts bcuz of the snes haha. hope this clears things up 4 u guys.
