I was trying to burn a dvd with clone dvd 2 but when I got through to the write stage is would not read my media. I am using Verbatium DVD+R 16x. My question is do I need to use a certian type of disc.
The 16X DVD+R Verbatim is a top notch media already, so I highly doubt it's the media. I've used them tons (over 250 plus) and I've never experienced any playback issues whatsoever. Need more info to go on (i.e. how old is your DVD player? How fast did you burned? What make/model is your DVD burner? Does it have the latest firmware? etc.) When it comes to DVD+R media, I've always recommended to "book type" them into DVD-ROM. Yes, DVD-ROM format is the best, the one and only "universal" DVD format on the planet to play in all functional stand alone DVD players. Fact: 100% of all original DVD movies are pressed as DVD-ROM Fact: 100% of all original DVD PS2 games are pressed as DVD-ROM Fact: all original DVD movies worked on any functional DVD players 100% Fact: DVD-R will most likely work with 97% of all stand alone DVD players Fact: DVD+R will most likely work with 95% of all stand alone DVD players Fact: DVD+R "book typing" into DVD-ROM will most likely work with 99.99% of all stand alone DVD players.
