no it wont act as a extension of your 10gb you will have to save data to it manualy the only way to combine the to drives is to use a raid array with jabod if your motherboard supports it but it would mean reloading your os

Raid is is a bit of software in some motherboards that allows you to make multiple hdd's appear as one on your system jabod (just a bunch of disks) is one of the raid formats not all mother boards support it

i wonder if it would support a old 600mhz any way i wouldnt care if it showed up under a different drive letter. when first one fills up how could i get extra stuff to 2nd one like games etc...... when you buy a new hard drive it comes with software like mAXBLAST and it gives an option to use drive as additional storage . this drive aint a maxtor so i can "t do it

when you install the second drive in your pc windows will allocate it a drive letter E; F: etc when you install most gmes you will get an option for their location just install them to your new drive letter maxblast etc is merly a set up tool for formating your drive etc your pc and os will handle the actuall drive instalation

pretty much everything you save on your pc gives an option of where to save it either via a save screen or options within the program
