I guess I'm just a little confused. I hear people talking about programs that "rip" streaming audio. However, when they explain how they're doing it, it sounds an awful lot like recording the stream in real time. I guess I just think that ripping is different from recording. If I "rip" a music track from a CD to convert to an MP3, I'm not recording the song in real-time, I'm grabbing the track all at once, and the speed I do so depends on how fast my CD drive can read. So, are there actual stream-ripping? Programs that "reach" the audio file and capture it all at once before it plays from beginning to end? Or just programs that allow you to record streams in real-time? Thanks
nope, you can only capture streams in real-time. try streambox or net transport, they both work very well.
I'm also interested in recording streams. Are there tutorials on After Dawn for these programs? Thanks
