MOBO RAM max

    If my mobo's documents say that my ram max is 2GB does that mean that I can buy 2 sticks of 1GB ram? I ask because I know that 1GB is actually 1024MB, or something to that effect, and I wasn't sure if 2048MB would work.

    It's only if it has dual chanel support which it probubly does since it holds 2 gig

    if have 2 memory slots than each holds 1gig each & not dual channel unless manual says so.

    Yes. When installed, your BIOS will show it as 2048.

    yes, if u only have 2 slots if your have 4 in the old systems then its possible you can only have 512mb 0.5gb in each slot. But if you only have 2 slots for memory then 1gb in each.
