I've been using 1ClickDvdCopy 4.1 w/Dvd43 3.7.0 (previously used the older Dvd43Free version) for over a year and have yet to find a movie I can't burn.

I have back-ups of nearly 100 movies and the final product is always visually compariable to the original disk (no scientific anaylis here, just judging both disks by watching them on a 32" TV).

I've been reading here on the forums about various software such as DVDFabDecrypter, DVDShrink, VobBlanker & AnyDvd.

Could anyone enlighten me on why I would choose to ditch my current setup and use the other listed programs insteaed? Should I view the other methods simply as alternatives or is there some other factor I am unaware of that could enhance my burning experience?

I've been using Phillips DVD+R disks (4x but going to try the 8x ones here shortly) for all of my movies and never have tried another disk. Seems to work great.

Thanks for any advice or information! :)

If your set up works then stay with it many of the tools you mention are refered by us to get around certain issues copy protection reauthoring converting ntsc to pal and so on all of these tools are very usefull and as a rule we only scratch a fraction of their full abilitys but if your interested in the world of video dvd editing they are certainly worth a look in particular

    Vobblanker
    dvd shrink
    dvd decrypter
    virtualdub
    virtualdub mod
    nandub
these are all freeware and I'm sure many other members could add to this list

as for dvdfabdecrypter and anydvd I'm sure some people in here have shares in the company

Glad to hear your not having any problems. I'd say keep doing what your doing and if your run into anything you'll always know there are other programs available to use.

'If it aint broke then don't fix it'...if everything is working fine, and you are happy with the quality then stick with it. I personally use DVD Shrink, and Nero recode 2, along with AnyDVD, and IF needed Vob blanker...
