so let me get this straight. booktyping is basically making aa DVD+/-R able to play on older DVD-ROM drives? and second, what is DVD-ROM? is it the older type of DVD's?
chanman1, You can only booktype a DVD(+). It is nothing but tricking the DVD Player( code written on the lead-in) to think what they are playing is a DVD-Rom. A DVD-Rom is a disk that is neither (+) nor(-) and it is usually what the cvommerical movies are as they are 2 single layers that are pressed together.
