    Hi there,

What is important, it's the MEDIA ID.

1 company like TDK can make real nice

    DVD-R 8x (Media ID: MCC 02RG20 *OR* TYG02)

    and real crap

DVD+R (Media ID: MBIPG... and CMC Mag crap)

    Real Good Quality:

    Taiyo Yuden (TYG0x / Yuden000x)
    Verbatim (MCC...)
    Maxell [bold]Made in Japan[/bold] (MXL RG0x)

I play it safe, I buy only Taiyo Yuden online and sure to get TYGx (DVD-R) or Yuden00x (DVD+R).

    timmytoad--
The very best are supposed to be Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim--available at Supermediastore online--or at a retail outlet look for Made in Japan--Maxell, Sony and a couple others--stay away from Memorex--very poor quality usually--
