I'm looking for an MP3 player. Anyone know of ones that are more shake proof and that are hardrive based (I'm looking for bigger storage 10GB plus). I'm not going to use it while doing intensive sports but just for going on walks, hikes, etc. I just got a Creative Zen Sleek and it constantly stops and restarts when i just walk around with it in my pocket. I heard the flash based ones are better, but i am looking for one with more storage.

Also as a secondary feature i'd like to find one with a picture viewer with good zoom and pan control to enlarge small image details a lot.

Also to be able to sync with Outlook contacts would be a helpful feature.

And lastly would like voice recorder, but i think most have that. Even the ipod with adaptor.

    Rami,

A lot of cell phones will do what you want, problem is storage, ... you could go with SD or MMC, small cards, easy to put a hand full in your pocket, and just swap the card if you want different music. Hard drive based players are subject to the laws of gravity, (the read/write heads are "floating" over the drive, a bump can cause them to damage the drvie itself) .... this doesn't happen as much anymore. the 2 places I do a lot of research on "what's out there" are pricewatch (www.pricewatch.com) ... don't know if that posted. the other is ebay, every day I come across something new there, and wonder why I didn't think of it.

I highly recommend any Archos product, I've had an Archos jukebox 15 gig since 2003 and I am not an easy person to live with by any means.

I don't run or anything like that, but I do, unintentionally of course, stomp on, drop often, let slip, punt, spill all kinds of liquids into, onto and around, let the cat do all kinds of things to -- well you get the idea.

And my music goes everywhere with me. This thing is solidly made and hasn't let me down once, never skipped, I would never expect a player such as this to skip or hesitate and am always surprised when I hear of others that do.

my 2 cents. It's a tough decision and unfortunately the merchants aren't helping by only offering I pod out front & making you dig for the good stuff, so very sad.

    Good luck in your search.
