Okay I got a mini DV and I got some night scenes in my movie script so how would light the dark areas maybe I could get the charatcer to hold a tourch but, would that be enough.

    Any tips would be cool.

I'm not and expert on movies but did some emergency repairs for a film crew in Pittsburgh a few years back. I got to watch some night filming. They used color lighting in some cases depending on what was in the scene. For example filming around a fire torch or camp fire they would use orange or yellow extra lights to look like the flame was lighting the area. Moonlight scenes usually used blue light. Not too bright of a light but enough to help backlight the area. Just a suggestion and you will probably have to experiment with the correct amount and colors. Good luck.

Hey! I had this problem too when doing my movie... Light is always a problem! I used a little flashed light I ducktaped on my cam and... it WORKS!! It creates a cool ambiance! Try it!
