I can't get sims 2 to run from my external hard drive. I installed it choosing the to the external drive but it said some things would be installed to my main hard drive. Now when i try to run the game i just get a error window with a red x in it. Any help would be appreciated.

Some games just won't have being installed to extra disks. What you can try is instaling it to your master disk, then just cut and paste the folder to the external. Also, try and spot if any other program files folders other than "the sims 2" appear when you're installing it. If another program like for example "Reflexive arcade" appears (this occurs for the game ricochet) copy that over too. These folders are often what causes the problem.
