Trojan: Exploit-SWF will not go away...please help...

This trojan, I'm told, is because of something wrong with flash player. The instructions I received were to install flash player 8. I also rebooted in safe mode, scanned with my McAfee VirusScan 10, scanned with spybot, and ad-aware, etc. I found nothing with those scans, but did a search on 'exploit-swf' for my comp and found a couple things which I deleted. I also disabled system restore. The virus scan says to make sure that it is not write-verified, I believe, so I thought that if I caught the trojan with system restore disabled it wouldn't be write-verified and I could delete it.
Nothing has worked.
Everytime the trojan is found, McAfee identifies it in:

1. For mozilla firefox, it's in the cache of the profile

2. For internet explorer, it's in the TMP.

Also, a second trojan of the same name is found in Documents and Settings>User>Local Setting>Temp>plugtmp, whether I run IE or Firefox.

The problem is that there is no such 'plugtmp' in there, whether in safe mode or not.
