I personoly wouldn't trust anybody to take my xbox to mod it...and technically when you mod your xbox it voids any warrenty so if they mess up you can't get it fixed....Maybe if you have a freind that knows how to do it.....that person can mod it

Which method did you use to mod? I've skrewed up 2 boxes softmodding (1 was a friends). I ended up having to buy a solderless chip, stick it in his box so I could lock his HDD back up, then when I tried to remove it, it broke! Now that I've fixed his, I bought a new chip, stuck it in mine and have had no problems since.

I'd advise you to buy a solderless chip like Xenium or Xecuter. Just dont take it out all the time since that's what broke my first one.

It's a long, tedious process but it's def. worth all the effort in my opinion.

    I've now got:
    v1.0
    Xenium Ice
    UnleashX / Xbox Media Center
    250G HDD (66G Free)
    58 Retail Games :D

The softmod is worth it for your 'boxes safety alone. And it really is that simple; just make sure you have a current live dashboard. Or use something to update it.

Teammodders.com can either softmod it or install a chip for you.
Or you could just buy an already premodded system, either new or slightly used like the one i got from them.
