I recently was reading the back of a Phillips DVD-R case and noticed several little drawings indicating what is ok and not ok to do with a DVD-R(I hope specifically with Philips). One of the things that wasn't ok was water(it shows a cup pouring its contents onto the DVD). Someone showed me how to clean any disk to perfection a couple of years ago, and that required putting it under the tap(preferably pretty warm water) and then immediately drying it with a soft towl. It works perfectly and I've done it for years, but that was always with high quality origional movie and music disks from the store. Now I always use DVD-R and CD-R which I hope can withstand the same cleaning I have given disks in the past. What if water gets on the DVD-R? Answer me that and I will provide gratitude.

hi, the way i clean a disk from its dirt and scratches disk is using t-cut. yea i know its a product for cars but it really works. every scratch comes off. then after i i wash it all off with water obviously. all the information on the disk is locked inside the plastic and no matter how much you cover it in water it will always play. as long as obviously the disk is dry when you put it in the player.you can drown it in water if you like and it will be fine. ive seen how they make these discs. i just thought i would share that with you guys lol
