hi,first post here. i riped to the disk these three movies using dvdfab decrypter and then shrink to compress them, but shrink gives me an error(invalid navigation structure) even with the re-author option.i searched several forums and installed anydvd,dvdfab platinum and dvd region+css free , it was said that these programs would work. i still have the movies in the hard drive and tried to use the programs but it still gives me the same error. i riped with anydvd and burned it with nero but it only has a small piece of the movie and all the menus. my question is if i can use the movies in my hard drive or if i need the original dvd's to rip them all over again with these new programs? if i can use them, how should i do it? any help apreciated
hi you can either run the files you create through vobblanker (free download) to remove any bad/dumy files. this will then allow you to use shrink - alkohol has a great guide on how to use vobblanker. (i dont have a link but if you do a search you will find it) you said you ripped with anydvd but anydvd is not a ripper? do you have & mean anydvd & clonedvd as both of these programs running together will back up any movie (in my experience) make sure if you are using anydvd & clone dvd that they are up to date as they have been updated quite a lot lately with all the new copy protections. welcome to afterdawn, by the way - you posted in the ps2 forum, i will ask for it to be moved to the correct forum
hi, i tried to use vobBlanker and i manage to backup Cinderella Man successfuly, the whole movie with the menus and everything. But with Stealth and The Longest Yard i wasn't so lucky. i did it the same way and it only gives me a part of the movies (the first 29 minutes of the main movie in case of stealth and the last 20 minutes or so of the end of the main movie of longest yard) the menus and extras are all there in both movies, i don't no what´s the problem. i riped all three with dvdfab decrypter 2.9.5.2 i don't now if i need the original dvd's to rip them again, in my hard drive i have like 6.17 gb for stealth and 6.81 gb for longest yard so i guess i riped everything, but when i try to see the movies in my computer i can only see the parts i mentioned before what should i do? any sugestions?
no, only dvdfab decrypter 2.9.5.2, but i managed to fix cinderella man, just the other two are giving me problems
If you do not have the latest version of the program then dl and uninstall your old version and then install the new one and try that version and see if it works
yeah, but isn't dvdfab decrypter just eliminate the protections when i rip the originals? Do you mean run the files i already have in my disk with dvdfab to another directory?
already tried it, but it gave me the same result i guess i have to get the originals again any other sugestions?
that is verry true he could buy them, i did all of the movies that he is talking what i used was shrink and dvd region + css free running in the backround but you have to make sure that you have your programs that run in the backround up to date you should have no problem, and you say that you have them on your hd so you have half the job done
