Hello, I was considering buying, Copy DVD Pro because it was priced a lot less than some other programs. It states that to be able to make DVD to DVD movies over 4.0 GB, you must have Windows 2000 or XP. I have Windows ME. Their support says I can copy movies only to VCD or SVCD. They say this is because fat32 will not permit files greater than 4.0 GB. Is this true? I never read this anywhere else. Thanks Guys, Steve aka NewB
This is true, you need an ntfs capable operating system. One way to do dvd backup on fat32 is to split the vob files into two folders when ripping.
And if you go for XP, get the pro version. Home version is just a 'lite' version of pro. Or just get W2K. It's a bit quicker and found pretty cheap at computer fairs, and underneath it's a robust professional OS. Does need minimum 256mg or ram, though to work.
