hey guys i run a mad dog md16xdvd9 i have burn hundreds of movies then suddenly the other nite i load an empty dvd-r in and it shows it as a cd-r with 0 used and 0 free space.... now when i load a cd-r in it shows properly ... so i reformatted AND downloaded the flash for the drive and it still doesnt work properly.... u think time for a new drive?
it's just windows acting up....... make sure you defrag your drive... delete all unnessisary file (like temp files) ... another words... clean your PC! See if that works. See if your drive still burns the disc! Also, what brand of disc are you using? Starting with good media solves many problems! I strickly use MADE IN JAPAN discs! More info please.
HP and Memosux!! hahahaha the crappiest media you can get! Get yourself some Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Sony or any disc MADE IN JAPAN if you want to keep those disc for any time longer!
I only use Taiyo Yuden! shop around online and buy the cheapest TYs, and I started using Shiny Silver Printables! They are cool!
