MoBo: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe CPU: AMD 3200+ dual core Ram: 2gig Graphic card: Geforce 7800 gtx Hd: wester digital 300 and 160 power supply: 400w Cdrom: dvd burner dvd player Water Cooling Kit: Thermaltake Big Water SE Water Pump hey im having problems with my water cooling. Im new to water cooling and i got this kit as a gift. After 4 hours of installing it i finally fill it up and test it (at 12am). looks like it works great but i see that my monitor is very dim when it should be blazin bright brought brightness all the way up no diff. i started it and it gave me the error message "cpu fan not on...." so i turned that off. now the problem is when i start it, it loads to windows and the screen flashes lil bars of color then fades out to black. so i lowered the water cooling temp thinking it overheated. still gives me the same problem when its cranked all the way up. So the questions i have are why after i installed the wc is my monitor very dim (thinking power supply) and why is my system crashing even when i lowed the water temp? can u freeze the CPU? and whats a good temp to keep the cpu at? any help will be great
I take it you plugged in the PCI-E power plug on the 7800GTX , i've just built a new pc with the same mobo & graphics card using the swiftech H2o ultra apex w/c kit using a AMD 3200+ 64 with no trouble . I think your psu might be a bit on the weak side, should go for a 480-580 watt psu with that kinda kit, also the dual cores don't come in 3200 .
hey your right the amd is a 3800 not 3200 lol anyway im gonna buy a new power supplie at compusa today and see if it fixes the problem. another question how would i be able to overclock this sucka. and any good programs to keep track of the temps PEACE
Speedfan is a good temp tracking program don't bother with MB5 as it dosen't surport the Asus A8N mobo. To o.c that dual core your gonna have to enter the bios & alter the settings .... you should be able to get a decent o.c with your big water kit & nice temps depending on the model.
hey i got the new 520 power supply its great....but i fried my cpu!!! i hooked everything up and started my computer and my monitor light went of to green but no video display no sound or beeps nothing. i only know some reason why a computer would do this. bad ram bad mobo and bad cpu. anything else u can think of. the good thing is when i bought the cpu it was 500 now its 250 so thats not to bad or to hell with it its a reason to upgrade to a new pimped one! i did have a 3year warrenty with newegg but i lost the recepit lol. anyway man thanks for the tips.
You fried your cpu ? how ?? Have you tried clearing the bios & made sure all the power plugs are in place on the mobo you have the one in the top right corner (sqaure 4 pin) & the atx 2 main power connection bottom right (rectangle 24 pin)
