Well guys I have seen lot of you talking in favour of AMD. I agree with all of you. But I suspect a problem with my AMD 3200+ processor. Could any one help to sort ths out? I start any game in my pc (eg: Age of Empires, Project IGI, Need For Speed, etc) and after playing for a few minutes either the game gets closed and returns to desktop or the system reboots (mostly reboots). This alos happens when I work with Internet Explorer or when I am surfing net. Could any one explain if it problem with Microsoft Windows XP or with AMD 3200+ processor or with the ADEON mother board?

Sound more like a problem with the software. But there is still the chance it is something overheating. I say this because overheating comes with game play and it would be hardware. But with IE shutting down sounds like a software problem. Could also be a HDD problem depending on how old your computer is. So know what we need to know is age and specs. of said computer.

Well thanks for the update. This is a brand new computer and I am seeing the problem since the first day. Talking of over heating - it should always restart right!! but at times its just returning to the desktop closing infact killing the application (I mean the game). I also have a ATI Radeon Graphics Card.

With the games I have the same problem of just returning to the desktop. It is a result of having the settings on the game so high that your video card can't handle it.

Got you, thanks again. But I am still wondering about why the pc is restarting. And did you get how can we continue the play I mean basic settings ( I generally use 1024 by 768 pixel rate and colour quality highest with default monitor settings... anything else?)
